Catherine Mineo

Business Transactional Attorney

Catherine (Cat) Mineo is an accomplished trademark and business transactional attorney, advising companies on protecting their brand assets and structuring their operations for growth. She has extensive experience managing national trademark portfolios, securing USPTO and California trademark registrations, and enforcing intellectual property rights through strategic brand protection initiatives.

In her transactional practice, Cat counsels businesses on corporate structuring, regulatory licensing, commercial contract negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, real property transactions, and business escrows. She works closely with founders, management teams, and investors to draft and negotiate contracts that facilitate strategic expansions. Her practical, business-first approach to intellectual property and corporate matters allows clients to mitigate risk, strengthen their market position, and scale confidently.

Beyond her legal practice, Cat is deeply committed to community service. She serves as a Board Member for Legal Services for Seniors, an organization providing pro bono legal services to residents of Monterey County, and as a Board Member and volunteer driver for the Independent Transportation Network, a national organization offering transportation assistance to elderly and visually impaired individuals. Additionally, Cat supports youth experiencing homelessness through her work on the Grants Team for Youth Assistance Coalition, a nonprofit based in San Diego. She also mentors aspiring attorneys through the Monterey College of Law First-Generation Law Student Program.

In her free time, Cat enjoys reading, hiking, surfing, and exploring California’s coastline.
